My favorite TV shows. They are all highly recommended:
1. Arrested Development. I am beyond excited that they are making another season and movie!
2. Parks and Recreation. I happen to think Amy Poehler is brilliant. This show is brilliant. Just. Brilliant.
3. The United States of Tara. It's about a woman with DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder/Multiple Personalities). Besides the fact that I am fascinated by psychology, I know someone with DID and also have a friend whose mother has DID. I'm sad that this show was cancelled, and I think they did as much as they could to wrap up the storyline, but there were still a few seasons worth left of storyline in my opinion.![]()
4. Dexter. Again with my fascination with psychology. I also think attachment disorders are really interesting. Dexter is a serial killer with a twist-- he only goes after the "bad guys." This show has been around for awhile and is going into it's 6th season, and in my opinion it's never been better. You definitely have to be able to stomach quite a bit of gore to watch this show, and it's not for everyone... but I love it.
5. Six Feet Under. All about a crazy family who run a funeral home. The show ended in 2005 and I think I watched it all on DVD within a month or something ridiculous. I've contemplated watching the show over again, but it gets really dark towards the end and I remember it being difficult to watch. Always a favorite though. And Michael C. Hall (from Dexter) is in it too... playing a drastically different character than his better known beloved serial killer.
