Blogger Challenge: Day 13

Day 13: Goals

Goal #1: Be me.

Perhaps more complex than it seems. I am always attempting to find myself and discover who I was meant to be. I was certainly not meant to live an unexamined life, that's for sure.

It's not really a goal that has a set finish line, but one that I am continually striving for. I think that all other life goals fall into place when I accomplish this. I am a person who wants to help others, therefore I am going back to school for Addiction Counseling. I am a person who values education, so I am thinking about getting my master's degree. I am a person who loves animals and children and authentic people, so I surround myself with them and envision a future that involves those things. I think you get my point.

I am not a goal-specific person, and I try not to get stuck on specifics. It feels like they weigh me down. Get married by (insert age here), own a home, save x amount of money... those are all good and fine things, but I will get to them in my own time. For now, my only goal in life is simple and wonderful. Just being me.
